m responsibilities of officers
Chair
Presides over all meetings, appoints members to positions not customarily elected, represents UCSD and AIAA at meetings and functions, attends section meetings of the professional AIAA, enhances AIAA throughout UCSD and the greater San Diego area
Vice-Chair, Programming
Heads the committee responsible for the organization and implementation of activities, including general body meetings, speakers, tours, and social events
Vice-Chair, Fundraising
Heads the committee responsible for raising money through sponsorship or holding profitable events
Vice-Chair, Membership
Heads the committee responsible for the recruitment of new members and coordinating AIAA membership
Vice-Chair, Publicity
Heads the committee responsible for the distribution of advertising materials throughout the UCSD community including the maintenance of the AIAA website and providing the latest updates on the organization's activities to members through e-mails, flyers, and newsletters
Treasurer
Maintains and reports the current finances of AIAA, deposits monies payable to AIAA, disperses funds, and prepares an initial budget and end-of-year report
Secretary
Attends and records the happenings (in the form of minutes) at each executive board meeting and general body meeting;
maintains meeting reports, contact list of the executive board, and other records; and ensures the distribution of appropriate publications,
e-mails, and letters to ensure communication
Webmaster
Maintains the main website for the pre-professional club; provides updates on upcoming events; lists important deadlines for available interships
and scholarships.
TESC Representative
Facilitates communication between TESC (Triton Engineering Student Council), AIAA, and the Jacobs School of Engineering; represents AIAA at all TESC events; reports to both organizations relevant information and event updates
Outreach Coordinator
Organizes programs to help promote interest in aeronautics and astronautics for various audiences - current engineering students, children, etc. - and provide resources to enhance and round out the AIAA@UCSD experience
Project Managers
Oversees the management and success of the project
